Zack Vayda and his Brain

I get out of work an hour early today. I'm excited to use that time wisely. Let's see what I can do in that time. 

3:59p - Hopefully no one tries to get me to do something, I've already clocked out and I wouldn't get paid for it. 

4:00p - Phew, got out the door in time. Why do I feel slightly bad for leaving when they still have to work? Man, my legs are so sore from exercising two days ago I'm waddling like a duck. The distance between me and my car seems much bigger than usual.

4:01p - I didn't have to wait to pull out of the parking lot very long, that was nice. Plus the light was green, and that light can last forever. 

4:07p - Wait, which exit am I getting off at? I haven't even decided what I need to do/get on my way home. I'll get off on the Morse Road exit to go to Kroger for groceries. This better not take long.

4:08p - Wow, that was the worst pothole ever. There goes my alignment. Maybe if this person in front of me were driving faster there would have been a bigger distance between us and I could've had time to avoid the hole. 

4:12p - Made it off the exit onto Morse Road, should be an easy, straight shot from here. 

4:13p - Why is everyone stopping so far from the red light? Oh, of course the lane ahead is closed and everyone has to merge. And naturally it's my lane that has to get over. Should've seen that one coming.

4:20p - Yup, still here.

4:21p - Why won't this person let me into his lane? Can he not see I don't have a choice?

4:22p - Yeah that's right, you better let me in. I'll wave even though I know you did it begrudgingly. 

4:24p - Well there goes 25 minutes of my life. At least I'm at Kroger now, a quick in and out.

4:37p - Did I get everything? Yeah, I got everything.

4:38p - Why is this line so long?? What's so important about getting groceries at 4:38 on a Thursday? People clearly don't get that this is the express lane.

4:40p - Dude, there can't possibly be this many errors with your terminal. Maybe it's not the terminal that's having problems, you think?

4:41p - Can someone please explain to this lady how much it slows things down when she takes all her fruits and veggies with no barcodes through the express lane? How is that not common sense? Express lane, people!

4:42p - There, that is how you go through the express lane. Done in less than a minute. Take notes, everyone.

4:44p - Yeah I should've just gone to the other left hand turn, I'm never gonna get out of this one, especially with this slowpoke in front of me. 

4:45p - GO!

4:46p - Okay, finally my turn. Maybe I can g- what? Did that guy actually just go around me completely?! WE ALL HAVE PLACES TO GO, IDIOT! Eh, I should've expected that from someone driving a pickup older than the Ganges River and dirtier than the, well, Ganges River.

4:51p - I can't believe that nearly took an hour. And now I'm mad at everything that breathes. Oh well, at least I have everything I wanted to get and I didn't forget anything.
