Three screen grabs from today’s shooting (and there was a lot of shooting!)

The first is a picture of some of the kids from our closing group shot. See the girl at the bottom, middle? Her name is Carly.

The second picture is of Lady, who is hanging onto Zack. She looks a lot like her sister. She’s a real cutie and a charmer.

The third picture is where those two girls live.

Just past the brick on the left is an entrance into a two room dwelling. Lady, Carly, and approximately eighteen other people live there.

Look at the two girls again. Then, try to imagine what they go home to, everyday. Every night. Day after day, month after month.

It just boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

I don’t have any real words of wisdom here. Or any statements to make. But it’s just that I’ve spent some time with these kids the past few days, and I’ve grown to like them.  And I realize that I’ll be staring at their faces a lot over the next few weeks as I put the video together. To be honest with you, I’m not sure if I really want to.
